Tassels and pom-poms are a fun summer staple, and I’m going to share just how easy it is to make your own super simple DIY tassel earrings so you can rock the tassel trend all summer long! You’ll just need a few supplies and you can easily customize your own earrings to suit your style.
Supplies needed to make your own DIY tassel Earrings:
- Embroidery Floss (two colors of your choice)
- Jewelry Pliers
- Jump Ring
- Gold Ear Hooks
How to make Tassel Earrings:
Step 1: Begin by cutting one 6″ piece of embroidery floss from one color and a second from a coordinating color. Next, tie the first piece of floss around the center of the entire loop of matching embroidery floss as shown.
Step 2: Fold your embroidery floss in half. Take your second coordinating colored 6″ piece and wrap it around the floss about 1/4″ down from the top and tie a knot to secure it. Cut off the excess embroidery floss at the top (the two strands in the pic below) and trim the bottom evenly.
Step 3: Next, add a jump ring to the top of the DIY tassel through the center of the fold.
Step 4: Add one quatrefoil connector and ear hook to the top of the main tassel jump ring.
Step 5: Duplicate that, and your earrings are finished! Swish-swish!
That wasn’t too bad was it? Right. Now let’s make a tassel necklace as well.
